  Althea Marie Goetz, 87, of LaVale, Md., died Tuesday, Nov. 21, 1989, in
  Memorial Hospital, Cumberland, Md.
  Born March 24, 1902 in Grantsville, Md., she was a daughter of the late
  Ralph and Etta (Layman) Engle.  She was preceded in death by her husband,
  Raymond A. Goetz, on Dec. 3, 1981.
  She was a member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church, and was a housewife.
  She is survived by two sons.  Ray P. Goetz, Silver Spring, Md., and Edwin
  E. Goetz, Arlington, Va.; two sisters, Miss Ida Engle, Frostburg, Md.; and
  Mrs. Martha Brookhart, Oakland, Md.; and two grandchildren.
  Friends were received at the Hafer Chapel of the Hills Mortuary where
  services were conducted Saturday at 1 p.m. by the Rev. Edward C. Chapman.  
  Interment, Sunset Memorial Park.
