GOLDSWORTHY Richard J. Goldsworthy, 69, of 229 Centennial Street, Frostburg, Md., died Feb. 2, 1988 in Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland, Md. Born in Frostburg, Md., July 25, 1918, he was the son of the late Richard and Genevieve (Winters) Goldsworthy. His wife, Ellen (Devlin) Goldsworthy, died Dec. 21, 1987. He was a retired meat cutter for Swift's Premium Meats at Yoder's Locker Plant, Grantsville, Md. He was an Army veteran of World War II and was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church and Farrady Post 24, American Legion. Surviving are three sons, Richard M. Goldsworthy, Potomac Park, Md.; Terrance P. Goldsworthy, Rawlings, Md.; and John Goldsworthy, at home; one sister, Miss Catherine Goldsworthy, Frostburg, Md., and one grandson. Friends were received in the Sowers Funeral Home, Frostburg, Md. Services were held in St. Michael's Catholic Church, Frostburg, Md., at 9:30 a.m. Saturday by Msgr. John Reinsfelder. Interment, St. Michael's Cemetery. Pallbearers were Wesley Foor, Craig Robertson, Richard Lee Goldsworthy, James Shertzer, Leroy Iser and Patrick Wilhelm. The New Republic, February 11, 1988 [G0761]
