Gonder, of 511 Summit Drive, Ligonier, died in Westmoreland-McGinnis Hospital. She was born in Salisbury, a former employee of First National Bank of Boswell. She was a member of Covenent Presbyterian Church, Ligonier; member of Ligonier Chapter 349 of the Eastern Star; Ligonier Garden Club and many civic organizations. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Fannie M. Garlitz. She was preceded in death by an infant son; her husband, Carlos G. Gonder, May 4, 1982; and five brothers. She is survived by three sisters: Lillian Cochrane of Masontown; Florence Slickerman of Somerset, and Blanche E. Moon, Johnstown; and one niece, Patricia E. Moon. Friends were received at the Owen Wolford Funeral Home, 144 E. Main St., Ligonier where services were held with the Rev. Robert D. Hopper in charge. Interment, Ligonier Valley Cemetery.
