  GORDON
  
    Ardell J. Gordon, 79, Central City, went to be with the Lord Feb. 27,
  1997, at Homewood Retirement Center, Martinsburg, Pa.  Born April 11, 1917,
  in Shade Township, the son of Lloyd and Binnie (Mangus) Gordon.  Preceded in
  death by parents; beloved wife, Ruth; brother, Stanley, and sister,
  Marian.  Dear father of Keith, married to the former Hazel Schrock,
  Altoona; Wayne, married to the former Maxine Miller, Schellsburg; also
  survived by seven grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.  Lifelong
  member of Central City Christian Church.  Former electrical foreman at
  Somerset State Hospital.  Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. Friday at
  the Mulcahy Funeral Home, Central City, where service will be held at 11
  a.m. Saturday, with Pastor Eric Smith officiating.  Interment, Daley
  Cemetery.  Friends who wish, in lieu of flowers, may make memorial
  contributions to the Altoona or Windber Regional Hospice programs in
  Ardell's memory.
