Gosnell, 69, Confluence, died Oct. 4, 1995, at Tampa General Hospital, Tampa, Fla. Born Sept. 25, 1926, at Chestnut Ridge, Fayette County, son of the late Clell and Bernice (Orndorff) Gosnell. Survived by wife, Myrna G. (Burnsworth); 5 sons: Phillip Curtis Gosnell, Fort Hill; Todd A. and Timothy M. Gosnell, both of Confluence; Terry M. Gosnell, Bella Vista, Ark.; and David Scott Gray, Stockbridge, Ga.; 2 daughters: Linda D. Hyatt, Slippery Rock, and Elizabeth D. Lytle, Confluence; also 15 grandchildren. Was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and a former telegraph operator for the B&O Railroad from which he retired after 40 years' service. Member of Meyersdale Lodge 554, F.&A.M.; Ursina American Legion Post 946; Chapter 127, DAV, and the Morse Telegraph Club. Attended Kingwood Church of God and the Faith Christian Fellowship of Confluence. Friends received from 7-9 p.m. Monday and 10 a.m. Wednesday, with Rev. James Monticue and Rev. A. Merl Calkins officiating. Interment, Sansom Chapel Cemetery. Meyersdale Lodge 554, F&A.M., will hold services at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Daily American, October 9, 1995 [G0840]
