Born June 12, 1921, in Somerset the daughter of John Calvin and Carrie Gladys (Ogline) Heiple. Preceded in death by parents, first husband Lynn A. Diehl who died Sept. 10, 1981, sister Thelma Hartzell, brother Merle W. Heiple and stepson Douglas Lyle Gossett. Survived by husband Marvin Hartwell Gossett to whom she was married 19 years and daughters Mrs. Thomas (Linda) DeLia of Northglenn, Colo.; Miss C. Sue Diehl, Oakland, Calif.; Mrs. Joseph (Marcia) D'Iorio of New London; stepdaughter Mrs. James (Cynthia) Roberts, Frisco, Texas; grandchildren Ethan D. Gekoski, Christina and Joseph D'Iorio. Sister of Mrs. Arthur (Betty) Mengel of Sanford, N.C.; J. Floyd Heiple, Berlin; Mrs. August (Louise) McKee, Nashville, Tenn.; Jay E. Heiple, Boca Raton, Fla.; Mrs. Barbara Cox, Venetia. Member of First Christian Church of Somerset and Fort Meyers, Fla. A 1938 graduate of Somerset High School. Retired in 1983 working for the Pa. Department of Public Assistance with 11 years of service. Also a member of Somerset Garden Club, Somerset Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and Majestic Golf Club in Lehigh Acres Florida. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset, where a service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. William Sleasman officiating.
