Gourley, 79, of 903 Park Ave., Windber, died Jan. 20, 1990 at Windber Hospital. Born April 10, 1910,in Windber, daughter of the late George L. and Daisie (Manges) Daly. Survived by husband, Dr. John C. Gourley Jr., of Windber, and sons, John III of Windber, and George D., married to the former Carol Thompson of Somerset. Grandsons, John IV of Windber and Michael C. of Somerset, and granddaughter, Jennie A. of Somerset. Also survived by aunts, Myrtle Daly Harding and Elizabeth Daly Trueax of Aurora, Colo., and Freida Manges Miller of Bedford. Also survived by sister-in-law, Miss Mary Jane Gourley of Windber and brother-in-law. Dr. George P. Gourley of Somerset. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church, Windber, and the Windber O.E.S. A 1927 graduate of Windber Area High School; 1932 graduate of Hood College Department of Home Economics, Frederick, Md. Former dietitian at Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh, and the Dairy Dell, Johnstown, until her marriage to Dr. Gourley on Sept. 3, 1938 She was an avid bird watcher and nature lover, having belonged to the Allegheny Plateau Chapter of the National Audubon Society. Friends received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at Meek Funeral Home, Inc. Windber. Graveside service 1 p.m. Tuesday at Richland Cemetery, the Rev. Dr. Parrish Jones officiating.
