Born Sept. 22, 1939 in Windber, son of Dr. John C. Jr. and Christine (Daly) Gourley. Preceded in death by parents. Survived by son, John C. Gourley IV, Windber; brother, George D. Gourley, married to the former Carol Thompson, Somerset; uncle, Dr. George P. Gourley, Somerset; aunt, Mary Jane Gourley, Windber, a nephew, a niece, two great-nephews, a great-niece, seven cousins and many friends. Member of First Presbyterian Church, Windber. A 1957 graduate of Windber High School. Attended Washington & Jefferson College and graduated in 1962 from Syracuse University with a degree in music. From 1962-1969, John was the co-owner of Givens-Gourley Inc., a company that produced player piano rolls. John was an avid antique collector and dealer. He was an accomplished pianist and from 1980 to 1986 he was the house pianist for the Hotel Northampton, Northampton, Mass. In keeping with John's wishes, there will be no viewing or funeral service.
