  GOWARTY
  
  Pearl A. Gowarty, 88, 25 Middle St., Jenners, died Nov. 24, 1982, at
  Memorial Hospital, Johnstown.  Born Jan. 16, 1894, in Bedford County,
  daughter of Albert and Gertrude (Himes) Figard.  Preceded in death by
  parents; husband, Michael, who died Dec. 4, 1940; several sisters;
  brothers; and grandchildren.  Survived by these children: Blanche, widow of
  Chester Dodson, and Josephine, widow of Gerald Carpenter, both of Stoystown
  RD 1; John, Boswell; Arthur, married to the former Jennie Soha, Robert,
  married to the former Helen Soha, and Kenneth, married to the former Nancy
  Donio, all of Jenners; 21 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren, also
  four nieces and two nephews.  Friends received from noon-9 p.m. Saturday at
  Hoffman Funeral Home, 227 Allegheny St., Boswell, where service will be
  held at 2 p.m. Sunday.  Interment, Jenner Crossroads Cemetery.
