GRADY Oldest Resident of Shanksville Dead at age of 92 H. H. Grady, 92, oldest resident of Shanksville, died at 1:30 a.m., Dec. 29, in the dwelling in which he was born and resided all his life. Both Mr. Grady and his wife, who celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary last March, suffered an attack of grip about a week ago. Mrs. Grady is still bedfast. The deceased nonagenarian was a retired farmer. In his early life he was engaged with his father in the manufacture of pottery. He was born on Aug. 15, 1853, a son of the late Henry and Susan (Brant) Grady, pioneer Somerset County settlers. He served for a number of years on the consistory of the Shanksville Reformed Church, of which he also was custodian for many years. He and the former Anna Mary Kegg of New Buena Vista were married on Mar. 10, 1881. Besides his wife, he leaves one daughter, Miss Mae Grady, teacher in the Shanksville school. Funeral services were conducted at 2:30 p.m. Monday by Rev. A. J. Miller, pastor of the Reformed Church, followed by interment in the Walker Cemetery. Meyersdale Republican, January 3, 1946
