Preceded in death by father and step-father, Samuel Thomas. Survived by mother, Norma Thomas, Hemet, Calif.; widow, former Agnes Ewanitsko; three children: Christina, wife of Richard Ladosky, Fredericksburg, Va.; Priscilla, Pittsburgh; and James, at home. Brother of: John Cerritos, Calif.; and Kay Maines, Williamson, N.Y. Step-brother of Jean Sarver, Buffalo, N.Y.; and Helen Gary, Floyd and Earl Thomas, all of Somerset. Member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Boswell, where he served as a lector. Grand Knight and charter member of Our Lady of Laurel highlands Council No. 8908, K. of C., Fourth degree member of Johnstown Council No. 467, K. of C. Past Grand Knight of Windber Council No. 4067, K. of C. Also member of Boswell Post No. 461 American Legion, Somerset Post No. 554 VFW, Jenner Rod and Gun Club, Jerome Nest No. 556 Polish Falcons of America, NRA and Johnstown Touring Club. Navy veteran of Korean Conflict. Employee of Cooney Brothers Coal Co. Friends received 7-9 p.m. Wednesday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Hoffman Funeral Home, Main Street, Boswell, where wake service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Stanislaus Church, the Rev. Alfred Evanoski, O.F.M. Conv. Interment, church cemetery.
