GRAVES Joseph Eugene Graves, a native of Meyersdale, died March 2nd in Louisville, Ky. He was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Albert Graves. A former Western Maryland Railway Brakeman, Mr. Graves left Cumberland several years ago and was employed as a railroad worker in Louisville. A veteran of World War II, he received a medical discharge from the navy recently. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Hazel Graves; one son, Joseph E. Graves, Jr., with the army in Germany; four sisters, Mrs. C. A. Jewell, Ridgeley, W.Va.; Mrs. Margaret Spinetta, and Mrs. Lela Graham, both of Cumberland, and Mrs. Alice Kemp, Meyersdale; three brothers, Lt. Vernon E. Graves of the Cumberland fire department, and John S. and Alonzo Graves, address, not known, and one aunt, Mrs. Catherine Graves, of Cumberland. Mrs. Spinetta attended her brother's funeral in Louisville last Monday. Meyersdale Republican, March 8, 1945
