Gray, aged 19, son of the late John A. Gray and of Mrs. Dorothy (Rittenour) Gray of Garrett, died unexpectedly Friday evening, March 9, while at work for the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad Company at Newton Falls, O., where he had been employed since last July. He was born May 29, 1925, in Garrett, and graduated from Meyersdale High School in 1944. Surviving are his mother and six brothers and sisters - Carlton, Garrett; Cpl. Harold E. with the Army engineers in Germany; Mrs. Paul Judy, Garrett; Pvt. James A., with the infantry in Europe, and Paul and Wade, at home. His father died nine years ago. Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Garrett Lutheran Church by Rev. John Hoenstine, pastor, under the direction of H. R. Konhaus. Interment was made in the Garrett cemetery.
