  MARY E. GRAY
  
    Mrs. Mary Ellen Gray, 80, of Garrett RD 1, died Aug. 18, 1979 at
  Meyersdale Community Hospital.  Born April 19, 1899, Garrett RD 1, a
  daughter of the late John and Charlotte (Bittner) Heining.  She was
  preceded in death by her husband, George.  Survived by two daughters: Mrs.
  Nora Shaffer of Garrett, and Miss Margaret, Garrett RD 1; three
  grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.  Brother of August of
  Somerset.  She was a member of the Garrett Church of the Brethren and the
  Garrett Senior Citizens.
    Friends were received at the Leckemby Funeral Home, Meyersdale.
    Body was moved to the Garrett Church of the Brethren to lie in state with
  the Rev. William Phennicie officiating at the service.  Interment, Highland
  Cemetery, Garrett.
