Greathouse, 77, Box 6, Guys Mills, died Sunday, June 21, 1987, at North Hills Passavant Hospital, Pittsburgh, of injuries sustained in a two-vehicle accident on Interstate 79 in Cranberry Township, Butler County at 8:30 a.m. Sunday. She was born in Jennings, Md., March 16, 1910, a daughter of Jacob E. Walls and Sarah Butler Walls. She married Forest Greathouse, who preceded her in death in 1966. She was a housewife. She was a member of Mt. Hope United Methodist Church, Guys Mills. She was a member of Myrtle Rebekah Lodge 60, Steuben Grange, and Dames of Malta 218. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Ralph (Marian) Hickman, Meadville; and Mrs. Gordon (Ellen) Sprenkle, Guys Mills; one son, Wilbur (Bud) Greathouse, Meadville; one sister Mrs. Cleda Holliday, Grantsville, Md.; one brother, Wilbur Walls, Titusville; 17 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by two sisters. Friends were received at Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home where funeral services were held Wednesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. W. Roy Walls, a nephew of the deceased, officiating. Interment, Mt. Hope Cemetery. The Republic, July 2, 1987 [G0924]
