Preceded in death by parents; sister, Virginia Berkebile, and nephews, Donald Berkebile and Gerald Greeley. Survived by wife, the former Sheila Warren; children: David R. Jr., married to the former Georgina DeLeon, Somerset; Sharon, wife of Lawrence Dahoda, and Tracey Marie, wife of Keith Purchase, both of Jenners; also 11 grandchildren. Brother of Elnora, wife of Emil Malas, Somerset RD 3; Rebecca, wife of Charles Olson, Wheeling, W. Va.; Jean, wife of Louis Yachere, Berlin RD 3, and Loretta and friend Jack Paugh, Somerset. Also survived by mother-in-law, Dorothy Warren-Harris, Suffolk, England; brothers-in-law, Rush Berkebile, Jenners, and Collin Warren, Suffolk, England, and numerous nieces and nephews. Graduate of the former J-B-J Joint Schools Class of 1957. Member and commander of Somerset Post 181, American Legion. Also lifetime member of Berlin Post 7295, VFW, and member of Jenner Rod and Gun Club, Military Order of the Cootie, Somerset FOE Aerie 1801, and New Baltimore Sportsmen Association. U.S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam Conflict, retiring as a master sergeant in 1977 with 20 years service, including five years attached to the 93rd Aerial Port Squadron serving the president's Air Force One. Employee of Jim Dolan automobile dealership, Somerset. Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Hoffman Funeral Home, Main Street, Boswell, where service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Rev. C.J. Ickes officiating.
