JOHN WILLIAM GREEN

  John William Green, 77, retired farmer, died at his home near Swanton, Md., 
Sunday night, after a lingering illness.
  Son of Jefferson and Lydia (Broadwater) Green, he was born May 24, 1871, at 
New Germany, Md.
  Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Ida Florence Bowers Green; six children, Mrs. 
Hazel Warnick, Cresaptown, Md.; Lester and Everett Green and Mrs. Truman Otto, 
all of Swanton; Lindy and Forrest Green of LaVale; twelve grandchildren; three 
brothers, Amos Green of Gilmore, Md.; Sanford Green, Ridgeley, W.Va., and his 
twin brother, James Wilson Green, of Swanton, and one sister, Mrs. Alice 
Swauger, Grantsville, Md.
  He was a member of the Mennonite Church of Meadow Mountain where funeral 
services were held Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock.  The Revs. Ray Kinsinger 
and Roy Otto officiated.  Interment was made in the Methodist Cemetery at New 
Germany, Md.
