He was born May 30, 1894, in Addison, a son of Thomas Perry and Mary Elizabeth (Bowser) Green. He is survived by two daughters and one son: Mrs. Clarence Van Sickle, Manchester, Pa.; Mrs. Gilbert Myers of Addison; and Paul of York, Pa.; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Ethel McClintock and 10 brothers and sisters. He was a World War I veteran, serving in France; was a charter member and member for 30 years of the Old Trail Post 61819 of the Addison VFW; was quartermaster of the post for 25 years. He was a member of Addison United Methodist Church, with perfect attendance for 33 years. He was Sunday School superintendant for 25 years; was member of the Addison Town Council for 25 years and president for 15 years; member of Addison Cemetery Association for 25 years. Friends were received at Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence. Funeral service was held at the Addison United Methodist Church with the Rev. August Twigg and the Rev. John R. Hickson officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the Addison United Methodist Church. Interment, Addison Cemetery. Meyersdale Republic, July 8, 1981. [G0955]
