     John R. Greubel, 66, Windber, entered into rest on June 7, 2006, at Regional Hospice
  at Windber. Born May 1, 1940 in Derry. Son of Joseph F. and Veronica (Connolly) Greub
  e l . John was preceded in death by his parents. Survived by wife of 42 years,  the
  former Joy Younker,  daughter Catherine Jo Barncord,  wife of Jeffrey. Grandchildren
  Amber, Jonathan, and Jordan, all of West Virginia. Also survived by special friend
  Scooter. Brother-in-law of Janet Younker and Elizabeth Diffenbaugh, wife of William. At
  an early age, John started working for his father at the family owned Valley Dairies in
  Latrobe and Ligonier. He was a graduate of Derry Area, class of 1958. In 1959 John came
  to Windber to learn more about the ice cream production at Fairview Dairy in Rummel,
  which his father purchased in 1946 from the Hayes family. John enjoyed that part of the
  family business and made Windber his home. He retired from Fairview Dairy after 47 years.
  Funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at the Meek and Dalla Valle Funeral Home
  Inc. Windber. The Rev. David McGee officiating. Interment Rummel Cemetery. Memorials may
  be directed to Regional Hospice at Windber in memory of John.
