  BERT GRIFFITH
  
    Bert Griffith, 74, of Friendsville, Md., died April 30, 1974, in Garrett
  County Memorial Hospital, Oakland, Md.
    Born in Guard, Md., he was a son of the late William W. and Nancy (Green)
  Griffith.  His wife, the former Edna Brown, also preceded him in death.
    He was a member of Accident Volunteer Fire Company and St. John's
  Lutheran Church of the Cove.
    Surviving are three sons, Myron Griffith, at home; Robert Griffith,
  Confluence; and Hobert Griffith, Friendsville; a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Thomas
  of Friendsville:  12 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and three
  brothers, Asa Griffith, Prospect Park; Curtis Griffith, Barton, Md.; and
  Ray Griffith, Akron, Ohio.
    Funeral service was conducted Friday afternoon in Newman Funeral Home
  with Rev. H. B. Rittenhouse officiating.  Interment in the church cemetery.
