CIVILLA GRIFFITH

  Mrs. Civilla Griffith, aged 84, widow of Michael Griffith, died Monday 
afternoon at 3:15 o'clock, in the Somerset Community Hospital, the result of 
complications developing from a fracture of the left hip last week in a fall at 
the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Auman, in Somerset, 
where she resided.  Her husband passed away 16 years ago.  In addition to Mrs. 
Auman, she is survived by the following children:  Mrs. Edward Winters, of 
Ralphton; Mrs. Charles Young, of Somerset; Mrs. Walter Coleman, of Friedens, and 
John Griffith, of Jenners.  Thirteen grandchildren also survive.  Funeral 
services were conducted Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Auman home, in 
charge of Rev. Dr. Hermann W. Kaebnick, pastor of Grace Evangelical Church, 
followed by burial in the Lichty Cemetery, near Somerset, in charge of Edward 
Landis, a Somerset mortician.
