  DONALD GRIFFITH SR.
  
    Donald E. Griffith Sr., 58, was dead on arrival Thursday, May 9, 1985, at
  Meyersdale Community Hospital.
    He was born in Accident, Md., a son of Mrs. Lillian (Harman) Griffith
  Bennett, Port Charlotte, Fla., and the late Calvin N. Griffith.
    He was retired from the Pittsburgh police force.  He was a member of St.
  John's Lutheran Church (Missouri Synod) in The Cove, Md.; Stuckrath Lodge
  430, F and AM, North Side, Pittsburgh; Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 1,
  Pittsburgh, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Charlotte Harber, [sic] Fla.
    Surviving besides his mother are his widow, the former Kathleen B.
  Pavlick; one son, Donald E. Griffith Jr., Confluence; a daughter, Mrs.
  Lynda Sue Hostetler, Markleton, and six grandchildren. 
    Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville, Md., where
  services were conducted Sunday at 1 p.m. with Rev. Mark Ochsankehl
  officiating.  Interment, St. John's Lutheran Church cemetery where military
  honors were accorded by the Salibury [sic] and Confluence VFW Posts.
