  GRIFFITH
  
  George W. Griffith, 85, formerly of Friedens, passed on Aug. 2, 2003 at the
  Goodwill Mennonite Home in Grantsville, Md.  Born Aug. 15, 1917 in
  Markleton, the son of Milton and Maize (Hay) Griffith.  Preceded in death
  by his parents, first wife Ethel (Chapman) Griffith, and second wife Mary
  Ida Maust Faidley Griffith.  Survived by children, Linda of Florida,
  Georgeann of McKeesport, and Kay Lynn; several grandchildren; and sisters
  Mary Lewis of Virginia, and Minnie Wilson of Connellsville; also some
  special aunts and uncles, numerous nieces and nephews, and cousins,
  including special niece and caregiver Joan Phillippi of Casselman.  Retired
  from LTV Steel after 36 years of service.  Friends will be received from 7
  to 9 p.m. Monday at Miller Funeral Home, Somerset, where a service will be
  held at 11 a.m. Tuesday.  Rev. Patrick Walsh officiating.  Interment at
  Round Hill Cemetery in Elizabeth.
