(Lancaster) Griffith, 91, of Blacks Hill Road, Boswell RD, died Jan. 26, 2002, at Patriot Manor. Born June 8, 1910 in Avilton, Md., daughter of Elmer C. and Florence (Wampler) Lancaster. Preceded in death by parents, husband, Martin R. on Dec 30, 1971, brothers, Stanley, Homer, Victor, Sheridan and Ellis, sisters, Ethel Foster and Vergie Lohr, and daughter-in-law Dorothy (Bell) Griffith. Survived by these children: W. Roy of Boswell RD, Ann F., married to Blaine Sechler, of Meyersdale, and Larry A., married to the former Kathleen Testa of Jerome; grandchildren, Jerry, Barry, Michael, and Rhonda Griffith, Tamey Swank, Rick and Terry Sechler, and Bonnie Foxwell; great-grandchildren, Corey, Jamie, Christopher and Bradley Sechler, Julie Huston, Natalie and Timothy Foxwell, and Travis Swank; sisters, Ida Russell of Roseville, Ohio, and Elsie Layton of Jerome. Member of Boswell Church of God where she was a past Sunday School teacher and secretary. Also member of NRA. Adopted member of the Shawnee Indian tribe of Oklahoma where she was given the name "Princess Fast Wind" by Chief Black Bear. Also the Iroquois Indian Chief White Bear gave her the name "Princess Karonia Keson." Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Hoffman Funeral Home, Main Street, Boswell, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Rev. Gregory Stauffer officiating. Interment, Jenner Township Baptist Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donation in Gladys' name may be sent to the Boswell Church of God, 623 Main St., Boswell, Pa., 15531.
