    Kermit H. Giffith, 80, Boswell RD 1 died Jan. 6, 1996, at Memorial
  Medical Center, Johnstown.  Born July 6, 1915, in Jenner Township.  Son of
  Dorsey A. and Mary J. (Shaffer) Griffith.  Preceded in death by parents;
  sisters Margaret Griffith and Ruth Thurston, and brother, Dwight.  Survived
  by wife, the former Josephine Heckman; sons Larry, Boswell RD 1, and Dennis
  married to Karen Drenning, Somerset RD 7, and grandson, Spencer.  Member of
  Laurel Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Jennerstown, and Somerset County
  Beef Producers Association.  Retired Jenner Township supervisor.  Observed
  55th wedding anniversary on July 20, 1995.  Friends received from 2 to 4
  and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Hoffman Funeral Home, Allegheny Street,
  Boswell.  Viewing also from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m.
  Wednesday at Laurel Trinity Church, Rev. Edward N. Corneilson
  officiating.  Interment, St. James Cemetery, Jenner Township.
