  Martin L. Griffith, 88, Allegheny Lutheran Home, formerly of Hollsopple RD
  1, died Aug. 3, 1988, at Memorial Hospital.  Born Nov. 7, 1899 in Jenner
  Township, Somerset County, son of William M. and Barbara Amanda (Speicher)
  Griffith.  Preceded in death by parents; infant brother; brother, Curtis;
  sister, Mary Marie; and grandson, Thomas William Griffith.  Survived by
  wife, former Mary Hemminger; and these children: Evelyn, wife of Robert
  Lehman, and Frederick, married to former Shirley Makin, both of Hollsopple
  RD 2; William A., married to former Jane Schoop, Vinco; and Donald W.,
  married to former Anna Keafer, Newry; also, 11 grandchildren and 9
  great-grandchildren.  Lifelong member of Maple Spring Church of the
  Brethren.  Member of Hollsopple Senior Citizens and Quarter Century Club of
  Sani-Dairy of Johnstown, where he was employed for 38 years.  Observed 64th
  wedding anniversary March 8, 1988.  Friends received 7-9 p.m. Thursday and
  2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at Hoffman Funeral Home, Main Street, Boswell. 
  Service at 11 a.m. Saturday at Maple Spring Church where viewing will also
  be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service, the Revs. Beverly B. Good
  and Thomas G. Bruner officiating.  Interment, church cemetery.
