  GRIFFITH
  
  Mary I. Griffith, 82, Hollsopple RD 1, died March 4, 1989, at Memorial
  Hospital.  Born Jan. 19, 1907 in Conemaugh Township, Somerset County,
  daughter of Austin and Bertha (Stufft) Hemminger.  Preceded in death by
  parents; husband, Martin L., died Aug. 3, 1988; grandson, Thomas William
  Griffith; sisters, Edith Hemminger, Emily Baer, Frieda Shaffer, Laura
  Heckman and Annie Walker; one infant brother; and brothers, Ned, Samuel,
  Harry and Earl.  Survived by these children: Evelyn, wife of Robert Lehman,
  and Frederick married to the former Shirley Makin, both of Hollsopple RD 2;
  William, married to the former Jane Schoop, Vinco; and Donald, married to
  the former Anna Keafer, Newry; 11 grandchildren; and 10
  great-grandchildren.  Sister of Myra, wife of Clarence Miller, Somerset RD
  3.  Member of Benscreek Lutheran Church.  Friends were received Sunday
  evening, and will be received 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at Hoffman Funeral
  Home, Allegheny Street, Boswell.  Service at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Benscreek
  Church where viewing will also be held from 10 a.m. until time of service,
  the Rev. Thomas G. Bruner and the Rev. Beverly B. Good.  Interment, Maple
  Spring Cemetery.
