  Mrs. Mary M. "Mossie" Griffith, 88, White Star Village, Jennerstown, died
  Feb 1, 1980, at home.  Born April 7, 1891, in Manns Choice, Bedford County,
  daughter of Speer and Sarah C. (May) Philson.  Preceded in death by parents;
  husband, John L., who died in 1941; four sisters, Maude Harceloroad, Leafy
  Lohr, Pauline Hammer and Dorothea Lowry; and brother William.  Survived by
  son, Michael H., married to the former Elizabeth Holsopple, White Star
  Village, Jennerstown; grandson, Ronald M. Griffith, married to the former
  Carol Deal, Somerset; and great-grandson Michael Todd Griffith.  Sister of
  Florence E. and Zora M. Philson, White Star Village, and John L., married
  to the former Mary Lucinda Sipe, Jennerstown.  Member of Laurel Trinity
  Lutheran Church, Jennerstown, and Laurel Mountain Senior Citizens.  Friends
  will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 10 a.m. until
  time of service at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Hoffman Funeral Home 227 Allegheny
  St, Boswell, the Rev. Jesse E. Wolf officiating.  Interment Jenner
  Crossroads Cemetery.
