    Wilbert E. "Webb" Griffith, 83, Siemon Lakeview Manor Estate,
  formerly of Jerome, died Oct. 23, 1997, at the estate.  Born Oct. 12,
  1914, in Jerome, son of David and Ida (Deneen) Griffith.  Preceded in
  death by parents; wife, the former Evelyn Capazze, Dec. 12, 1991; one
  sister and several brothers.  Survived by children; Rick Capazze and
  wife, Candy, Windber; Denise, wife of George Clark, Jerome; Sheri
  Palermini, Lorida, Fla.; Alan and companion, Sandy Fowler, Boswell;
  10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.  Member of Jerome Post
  802 American Legion, Army veteran of World War II, retired miner with
  the former Hillman Coal and Coke Co., Jerome, and also was employed by
  the Conemaugh Township supervisors for several years.  Friends
  received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the Hoffman Funeral
  Home, Main Street, Boswell, where service will be held at 1 p.m.
  Sunday, with the Rev. John K. Timm officiating. Interment, Maple
  Spring Cemetery near Jerome.  Graveside military rite in charge of
  Jerome Post 802 American Legion.
