  William Bowman Griffith, 85, Somerset, formerly of Berlin, died July 10, 2005.
  Born July 12, 1919, in Meyersdale, son of William H. and Lydia L. (Bowman)
  Griffith. Preceded in death by parents; sisters, Oleta Byers and Kathleen
  Regina; and wife, the former Dorothy Llewellyn. Survived by Trudy, wife of Dave
  Baker, Berlin and Joy, wife of Donald Gardner, Somerset; grandchildren: Dee Ann
  Hoover, Little River, S.C., Susan, wife of Matthew Lettrich, Noank, Conn.;
  William Baker, married to Marilyn, Berlin, Amy, wife of Edward Hankinson,
  Friedens; Mark Gardner, married to Jennifer, Friedens; step grandchildren:
  Travis Meyers, Berlin and Tucker Meyers, Orlando, Fla.; great-grandchildren:
  Chase Lettrich, Matthew Hoover, Daniel Hoover, Jonathan Hoover, Sarah Gardner
  and Ryan Gardner; niece Linda Byers; nephew Kerry Byers and wife Lynn, all of
  Ligonier; grandniece and nephew, Kelly and Josh. World War II Air Force 2nd
  Lieutenant fighter pilot; 32nd degree Mason, Meyersdale Lodge. Member
  Harrisburg Consistory Scottish Rite, Jaffa Temple, Altoona, Shriner of the
  Somerset County Shrine Club. Member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. Retired
  Postal Service, Berlin with more than 30 years service. A graduate of Berlin
  High School and Wofford College, Spartanburg, S.C. Viewing will be held from 2
  to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and also one hour prior to service at 11 a.m.
  Wednesday, at the Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin. Masonic service will be held 7
  p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The Rev. John Harmon, officiating. Interment,
  Berlin IOOF Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to "In Touch" Hospice,
  Somerset.
