Grine, of Bakerton, Pa., where he had been making his home. He had been in failing health the last year. John Grine was born in 1849 and had spent his entire life in Meyersdale before coming to this mining district with his son. He was widely known in Meyersdale where he leaves a host of friends who mourn his death. His wife, Anna (Brown) Grine preceded him to the grave about 32 years ago. He is survived by his only son, William H. Grine, at whose home he died, and 10 grandchildren and 22 great- grandchildren. His body was taken overland by Undertaker Rosensteel of Ebensburg, who had charge of the funeral. Funeral services were conducted at 2:30 Sunday afternoon in the Hochstetler Church of the Brethren in Greenville Township of which he had been a life-long member. Burial was in the family lot in Hochstetler Cemetery. Meyersdale Republican, February 25, 1932
