Born March 25, 1924, in Meyersdale, a daughter of the late Lloyd and Freida (Christner) Forrest. She was married 58 years to the late Frederick L. Grof Jr. She is survived by two children, Nancy L., wife of Cliff Miller and Kenneth, both of Meyersdale. Also survived by six grandchildren; Jennifer, wife of Jim Whitacre; Stephanie, wife of Jason Smith; Nicole and Hannah Grof; David and wife, Jodi; and Jeremy Miller, all of Meyersdale. She is survived by four great-grandchildren; Michael and Lillian Whitacre and Blake and Gage Smith, all of Meyersdale. She is also survived by a sister, Ruth Bittner, Meyersdale, and a brother, Donald Forrest, Laurel, Md. She and her husband, Fred operated Grof's Market for 23 years. She was a charter member of the Grace Brethren Church and a volunteer at Meyersdale Medical Center. Family will receive friends 4 to 5 p.m. Thursday at the Grace Brethren Church, where a memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. The Rev. Randy Haulk officiating. Arrangements under the direction of M. She was born March 25, 1924, in Meyersdale, a daughter of the late Lloyd and Freida (Christner) Forrest. She passed away just hours prior to the death of her husband of 58 years, Frederick L. Grof Jr. She is survived by two children: Nancy L., wife of Cliff Miller and Kenneth Grof, both of Meyersdale. She is also survived by six grandchildren: Jennifer, wife of Jim Whitacre; Stephanie, wife of Jason Smith; Nicole and Hannah Grof; David and wife Jodi; and Jeremy Miller, all of Meyersdale; also four great-grandchildren: Michael and Lillian Whitacre and Blake and Gage Smith, all of Meyersdale.
