  GROFF
  
  Ned K. Groff, 90, of Confluence, died Dec. 17, 2001 at Somerset Hospital. 
  He was born March 13, 1911 in Confluence.  A son of the late Asa and Olive
  (Kretchman) Groff.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by
  his wife Vera (Hall) on Sept. 3, 2001, a grandson John Sellner Jr., sisters
  Dora Brown and Mary Martin Duing, and an infant brother Frank.  He is
  survived by daughters Nancy Sellner, of Prince George's County, Md., and
  Judith Ward and her husband Richard, of Charles County, Md.  Also five
  grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and four
  great-great-grandchildren.  He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of
  Confluence and worked for Western Union in Washington, D.C. for 38 years
  until his retirement.  Friends will be received from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday at
  the Humbert Funeral Home in Confluence where services will be held at 1
  p.m. Saturday with the Rev. Ardelle Mason officiating.  Interment in
  Johnson Chapel Cemetery.  Family suggests memorial contributions to Trinity
  Lutheran Church or a favorite charity.
