Born April 16, 1935, in Brothersvalley Township, son of Helen (Chonko) Groft, Berlin, and the late Lloyd Groft. Also survived by brothers: Glendon, Applecreek, Ohio; and Lloyd, Berlin. Former employee of CSX Railroad. Korean War Army veteran. Member of St. Gregory's Catholic Church, Mcdonaldton. Family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday (today) at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin, where vigil for the deceased will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Gregory's Catholic Church, Mcdonaldton, with the Rev. Donald W. Dusza officiating. Committal at church cemetery.
