Groft, 80, of Meyersdale, died Jan. 22, 2004, at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. She was born Nov. 27, 1923, in Deal, a daughter of the late Eli W. and Linda Belle (Christner) Weimer. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Groft in 1986, and these brothers and sisters: Howard and Wilbert Weimer and Florence Lepley, Wilma Irons and Shirley Paul. She is survived by these children: Ruthie, wife of Albert Saul of Crowdon, Evelyn, wife of James Supinger of Fairfax, Va., Donna, wife of Albert Romesburg, Garrett, Patty, wife of Ken Leydig, Berlin, Deb, wife of Paris Christner, Frostburg, Md. and Linda Groft of Meyersdale and three grandchildren: Brad, Nicole and Brandon Leydig and a number of nieces and nephews. She was a member of the Full Gospel Bible Church. Friends will be received Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the M. Ray Leckemby Funeral Home, where a funeral service will be conducted Saturday at 11 a.m. The Rev. Jim Davis officiating.
