MARTHA J. GROFT

  Mrs. Martha J. (Brant) Groft, wife of Edward Groft, died April 10th, at her 
home in Allegheny Township following a brief illness of pleuro-pneumonia.  She 
was 71 years old.
  Surviving are her husband and these children:  Mrs. E. C. Martin, of 
Brothersvalley Township; Mrs. W. G. Martz, of Northampton Township; Mrs. R. N. 
Long, of Stonycreek Township; Mrs. J. B. Shaffer, George Groft, Simon W. Groft 
and Ralph E. Groft, of Allegheny Township.  She also leaves 16 grandchildren and 
3 great-grandchildren.  Funeral services were conducted Monday at 2 o'clock at 
the home, in charge of the pastor, Rev. H. D. Gress.  Interment in the Odd 
Fellows' Cemetery, Berlin.
