Born Oct. 23, 1910 in McKeesport, daughter of Charles Moore and Clara Jane (Custer) Gross. Preceded in death by her parents, brother Herbert W. Gross and an infant brother, and sister, Mabel Johnson. Survived by nephew, Charles W. Gross and wife Thelma of Markleton; nieces, Mrs. Iva Belle Enos of Somerset, and Mrs. Herbert (Wilma) Miller of McMurray; seven great-nephews and six great-nieces; and numerous great- great-nieces and nephews. Also survived by sister, Miss Margaret "Peg" Gross of Somerset, and sister-in-law, Sara Gross of Somerset. Member of Messiah Lutheran Church, New Centerville, and Milford Grange. A 1932 graduate of California State Teachers College. She was an elementary school teacher for the Rockwood Area School, retiring in 1973, with 41 years of service. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, where services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Rev. William E. Osman officiating.
