Gross, 64, Somerset RD 7, died Sept. 26, 1978, at his residence. Born Jan. 28, 1914, in Somerset, he was a son of the late Harvey F. and Goldie (Marshall) Gross. Survived by his widow, the former Evelyn L. Blough, and these children: Mrs. Robert (Jeannine) Munden, Greensburg; Mrs. George (Norma Dean) Lambert, Virginia Beach, Va.; William R. and Robert J., both of Somerset RD 7; Donald, Emporium; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and these brothers and sisters: Mrs. Charles (Sarah) Freshman, Albuquerque, N.M.; Mrs. Paul (Alice) Brawley and Lester, both of Rockwell, N.C.; Charles, Somerset RD 5; Mrs. Richard (Mary) West, Pittsburgh; Mrs. Martha Tipton, Silver Springs, Md.; Jacob, Butler; Mrs. James (Jennie) Miller, Chattanooga, Tenn.; and Mrs. Thomas (Ann) Shoemaker, Waynesboro, Va. He was a jeweler in the Somerset area for 55 years with his business location, Gross Jewelers on W. Main St. for the past 37 years. Friends received after 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Richard E. Hauger Funeral Home, where services will be conducted Friday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. John Cox officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park. Daily American, September 27, 1978 [G1129]
