  GROSS
  
    Norman C. Gross, 64, Somerset RD 7, died Sept. 26, 1978, at his
  residence.  Born Jan. 28, 1914, in Somerset, he was a son of the late
  Harvey F. and Goldie (Marshall) Gross.  Survived by his widow, the former
  Evelyn L. Blough, and these children: Mrs. Robert (Jeannine) Munden,
  Greensburg; Mrs. George (Norma Dean) Lambert, Virginia Beach, Va.; William
  R. and Robert J., both of Somerset RD 7; Donald, Emporium; 11 grandchildren
  and one great-grandchild; and these brothers and sisters: Mrs. Charles
  (Sarah) Freshman, Albuquerque, N.M.; Mrs. Paul (Alice) Brawley and Lester,
  both of Rockwell, N.C.; Charles, Somerset RD 5; Mrs. Richard (Mary) West,
  Pittsburgh; Mrs. Martha Tipton, Silver Springs, Md.; Jacob, Butler; Mrs.
  James (Jennie) Miller, Chattanooga, Tenn.; and Mrs. Thomas (Ann) Shoemaker,
  Waynesboro, Va.  He was a jeweler in the Somerset area for 55 years with his
  business location, Gross Jewelers on W. Main St. for the past 37 years. 
  Friends received after 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Richard E. Hauger Funeral
  Home, where services will be conducted Friday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. John
  Cox officiating.  Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
