NORMAN E. GROSS

  Norman Ellsworth Gross, 60, died last Monday at his home in Black Twp. after a 
week's illness of pneumonia.  Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Vida (Kimmel) Gross, 
and five children - Philip, Somerset R.D. 5; Mrs. Kenneth Faidley, Rockwood 
R.D.; Mrs. Sylvester Phillipi, Oscar and Audrey, all at home.  A granddaughter, 
Arelene Phillipi, and three sisters - Mrs. Olaf Larson, Somerset; Mrs. Chauncey 
Freidline, Somerset R.D. 5, and Mrs. Ortha Brunner, Somerset R.D. 6 - also 
survive.  Two brothers are dead.
  Funeral services were conducted at 2:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon in the 
Middlecreek Church of the Brethren by Rev. W. F. Berkebile.  Interment in the 
church cemetery under the direction of Mills and Mickey, Rockwood morticians.
