    Pauline Elizabeth "Ma" Gross, 74, Westridge Road, Somerset, died Oct. 5,
  1999, at Somerset Hospital.  Born July 20, 1925, in Somerset.  Daughter of
  the late Calvin Hayes Pyle and Susan Jane (Ferguson) Pyle.  Also preceded
  in death by son, Cary A. Gross, who died June 12, 1996; six brothers,
  Wilbur, Leonard, Hamilton, Harvey, Benjamin and Jerry Pyle, and three
  sisters: Lydia Hoyle, Mayme Menser and Maude Pyle.  Survived by husband,
  Clark Albert Gross, to whom she was married 58 years, and these children:
  Glenn C. Gross, married to the former Mary June Lyons, Somerset; Simon A.
  Gross, married to the former Wanda Madrin, Perrysville, Md.; Mrs. Merle
  (Phyllis) Engleka, Somerset; Mrs. Joseph (Joyce) D'Arrigo of Gray; Clark
  A. Gross Jr., married to the former Connie Autlz, Friedens; Mrs. Thomas
  (Gloria) Lane, Somerset; Miss Debbie Gross, Somerset; Fred A. Gross,
  married to the former Lori Collins, Somerset; Mrs. Jeffrey (Susan) Sarver,
  Somerset; Ms. Cheryl Gross, Meyersdale, and Victor B. Gross, married to the
  former Diane Gindlesberger, Somerset.  Also 22 grandchildren and 21
  great-grandchildren.  Sister of Mrs. Elda Fisher of Somerset, Calvin Pyle
  of Berlin, and Mrs. June Schrock of Rockwood.  Friends will be received
  from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home,
  where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, with the Rev. Sherman
  H. Berkey officiating.  Interment, Husband Cemetery.
