  GROSS
  
    Vida Mae Gross, 85, of Rockwood RD 1, died Feb. 22, 1975, in Somerset
  Community Hospital.  Born May 14, 1889, in Milford Township, she was a
  daughter of the late William J. and Frances (Will) Kimmel.
    Surviving are two sons, Philip of Somerset, and Oscar of Rockwood RD 1;
  three daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Maud) Faidley, of Rockwood RD 3; Mrs.
  Sylvester (Alverda) Phillippi and Mrs. Ed (Audrey) Sanner, both of Rockwood
  RD 1; 12 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and a brother, Paul W.
  Kimmel of Tyrone.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman E. Gross in 1944; a
  daughter, Thelma, in 1918; and by six sisters.
    Funeral service was conducted Tuesday afternoon in William J. Wood
  Funeral Home, Rockwood, with Pastor Paul Weber officiating.  Interment in
  Middlecreek Cemetery.
