Born Nov. 12, 1916, at Guard, Md., he was the son of the late Lloyd J. and Mary E. (Beckett) Grove. He was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma J. (Frazee) Grove, April 23, 2007. He is survived by two sons, F. Allen Grove and wife, Anna Mae, Fort Hill; Terry R. Grove and wife, Donna J., Friendsville; one sister, Elsie Glass, Addison; four grandchildren, Beth Ann Grove, Terry Grove and wife, Kara, Joshua Grove and wife, Melinda, and Jamie Grove; and four great-grandchildren, Grant Grove, Kate Grove, Jackson Grove and Katherine Grove. Mr. Grove was a heavy equipment operator for Kaiser Refractories. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during World War II. Mr. Grove was a member of Accident Post 208, American Legion and attended Mill Run Mercy Chapel. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 943 Second Ave., Friendsville. A service will be conducted in the funeral home at 11 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Daymond Schmuck officiating. Interment will be in the Addison Cemetery.
