Born May 1, 1955, in Latrobe, and raised in Indian Lake. He is the son of Nancy Guarino and the late Ralph Guarino, who passed away on Aug. 26, 2005. He is survived by his long time love and fiancˇe, Jacquelyn Tucker; his dearly loved daughter, Meghan Guarino, San Francisco; his sister, Sharon Guarino Barrett, Denver; and his brother, Gavin G. Guarino and his wife Lisa, of Indiana, Pa.; two nieces and one nephew, Geoffrey and Mallory Guarino, Indiana, Pa.; and Elizabeth Criss, Denver; several aunts and uncles, and countless good friends. He graduated from Shanksville-Stonycreek High School in 1974. Randy worked in residential construction his entire life. He was a meticulous builder who took great pride in constructing quality homes. He began his building career at Indian Lake with his father, who was at first his teacher and later his partner. In 1985, they relocated their business to Waldorf. For the past six years he was the sole owner of Total Homes Inc., a residential contracting business located in Waldorf. Mr. Guarino was an avid hunter, and in recent years had traveled to Europe and South America on hunting trips. He enjoyed and participated in many activities and sports during his life, including fishing, golf, water-skiing, snow skiing, boating, horseback riding, and shooting. His happiest times were when he was spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of the St. Charles Sportsman Club. Viewing will be held 3 to 5 p.m. Wednesday at the Middleton Hall, Waldorf, Md., with a service at 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to a memorial fund for Randy Ralph Gaurino.
