   Richard M. Gudowski, Ph.D., 61, Cumberland, Md., formerly of California, died June 13,
  2008,, at his home. Born Jan. 17, 1947, in Long Beach, Calif., the son of Laverne
  Gudowski, Charlotte, N.C. and the late Max Gudowski. Dr. Gudowski was a professor of
  psychology at Allegany College of Maryland. Besides his mother, he is survived by his
  son, Rick Gudowski, Erie; his brother, James Gudowski, Mission Viejo, Calif.; his sister,
  Judi Benson and husband, Larry, Charlotte, N.C.; and his nephew, Serge Gudowski and his
  wife, Caroline, Mission Viejo, Calif. Private services will be conducted in California at
  a later date. The Adams Family Funeral Home, 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, Md., is in
