  GUESS
  
    Katherine "Kitty" Guess, 87, of Blough, died Aug. 15, 2000, at UPMC Lee
  Regional.  Born Nov. 21, 1912, in Windber, daughter of John and Susan
  (Rabic) Plovish.  Preceded in death by parents, first husband James
  Johnson, second husband Thomas Guess, sisters Helen, Susan, and Mary, and
  brothers John, Alex and Mike.  Survived by step-daughter Diana Combs of
  Cincinatti, Ohio, one grandchild and two great-grandchildren.  Sister of
  Steve Plovish of Blough and Pauline Umberger of Carlisle.  She was a member
  of St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church, 803 Somerset Ave., Windber.  Family
  receiving friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at George E. Mason
  Funeral Home Inc., Davidsville, where Panachida will be held 7 p.m.
  Thursday.  A brief service will be held 9:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral
  home.  Divine Liturgy at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary Byzantine, Windber,
  with the Rev. Daniel Loya officiating.  Interment, Bedford Memorial Park.
