She had suffered a paralytic stroke Wednesday, Sept. 11, and remained seriously ill till her death. She suffered from a heart ailment her last five years. She was the daughter of the late George and Elizabeth (Sheets) Stahl and was born near Grantsville, January 1, 1880. She married William Guinn of Limestone, Pa., Jan. 27, 1897. Her husband died Dec. 30, 1930. Surviving are two daughters, Lilie (Mrs. Hayward F. Broadwater) and Alice (Mrs. Ira L. Huff); six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; one brother, Charles Stahl of Meyersdale; four half-brothers, Dewey Stahl, Akron, O.; Henry Stahl, Louisville, Ky.; Harry and Stewart Stahl, and a half-sister, Mrs. O. J. Glotfelty, Grantsville; a niece, Mrs. Ruth Shaffer, Meyersdale. One grandson, Hayward G. Broadwater, is in military service at Bremerhaven, Germany. Mrs. Guinn was an active member of the Grantsville Lutheran Church and Woman's Missionary Society. She did practical nursing for several years and was always ready to render her services when she could. She was kind, and had a pleasing personality which won her many friends. She will be missed in the entire community. Funeral services were held at the home of her daughter, Mrs. H. F. Broadwater, Thursday morning at 10:30 o'clock, Rev. George Bowersox, her pastor, officiating. Interment in the Grantsville Cemetery. Meyersdale Republican, September 20, 1946
