Gumbert, 76, of 1416 Brubaker St., Berlin, died Feb. 28, 1987, at Somerset Community Hospital. Born Aug. 22, 1910, in Brothersvalley Twp. (Pine Hill), he was the son of George W. and Alameda (Brant) Gumbert. Preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Homer and John; Brother William, a stepbrother and two stepsisters. Survived by his wife, the former Dorothy Pugh; and these children: Mrs. Roy (Margaret) McClintock, Richmond, Me.; George G. and Floyd L., both of Berlin; 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. He was a brother of Milton Moore of Pittsburgh; Henry Gumbert, Springfield, Va., Mrs. Herbert (Alverda) Higgenbotham of Carnegie; Mrs. Lloyd (Catherine) Ebaugh, Front Royal, Va.; Mrs. James (Annabelle) Beaver, Sherrodsville, Ohio; and Mrs. Nicholas (Peggy) Williams, Springfield, Va. Also survived by a stepsister, Mrs. Mary Snyder of Detroit, Mich. He was a former mechanic for Gulf Oil Company in Baltimore and was a member of St. Michael's Lutheran Church, Pine Hill, and L.O.O.M., Glen Burnie, Md. Friends were received Sunday evening and will be received Monday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Johnson-Kuhlman Funeral Home, Berlin, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, the Rev.
