Main St., Berlin, died Jan. 16, 1984, at Somerset Community Hospital. He was born April 6, 1931, in Brothersvalley Township, son of George Gumbert Sr. and Leoda (Albright) Gumbert-Gindlesperger, both of Berlin. He was preceded in death by brother, John Gumbert. Also survived by wife, former Kathryn Wyand; daughter, Mrs. Guy (Barbara) Raupach, Grafton, W.Va.; son, Jack, married to former Charlotte Glessner, New Baltimore; and seven grandchildren. Brother of: George Jr. and Floyd, both of Berlin; and Mrs. Roy (Margaret) McClintock, Somerset. He was a half-brother of: William Gindlesperger, Meyersdale; and Mrs. Robert (Helen) Lohr, Jennerstown RD 1. He was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, and Berlin Volunteer Fire Dept. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Johnson-Kuhlman Funeral Home, where service will be held 1:30 p.m. Thursday, the Rev. Carl W. Schwarm officiating.
