WILLIAM GUMBERT

  William Gumbert, 68, retired farmer, died at 5:10 p.m., Saturday at his home 
near Pine Hill.  He had been ill several months.  He was born on April 26, 1877, 
a son of Peter and Catherine (Brant) Gumbert.  Surviving is a sister, Mrs. 
Schlosnagle, who cared for him in his last illness.
  Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Johnson Funeral Home in 
Berlin, Rev. John Hoenstine, pastor of the Pine Hill Lutheran Church, 
officiated.  Interment in the church cemetery.
