Gunderman, 80 of Confluence died Oct. 12, 1995, at Somerset Hospital. Born Jan. 28, 1915, in Humbert. A son of the late Harry and Bessie (Hunter) Gunderman. Preceded in death by his wife Beulah (Holliday) and two brothers, Paul and Charles. Surviving are two sons, H. Phillip of Yokota Air Force Base, Japan, and Thomas of Confluence. Also a sister, Martha Schmoyer of Pottstown. A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, served with the 224th Airborne Medical Company, 17th Division. Member of Ursina American Legion Post 946. President of the board of directors of Yough Housing Inc. Treasurer of Confluence Lions Club. Member of the Confluence United Methodist Church and board of trustees. Friends will be received from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Humbert Funeral Home in Confluence, where services will be held Monday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Dr. Arthur J. Gotjen, the Rev Edd Myers and the Rev. John Snyder officiating. At famlily's (sic) request, contributions may be given to the National Sunflower Handicapped Organization, The Netherlands, in care of Thomas Gunderman, 553 Dean St., Confluence, 15424.
